  • Is It a Safe Solution?

This Health Canada-approved technology is safe, with no known side effects, and can also enhance the results of PRP treatment or hair transplantation. Independent clinical studies have also demonstrated its effectiveness and safety.

  • How Does Laser Therapy Work?

Diagram of a hair follicle being targeted with laser light for hair removal.

Hair laser therapy is based on photostimulation, a biological process in which light acts directly on living cells. Using a low-intensity laser, blood circulation in the scalp is activated and cell division is accelerated. This phenomenon improves the supply of essential nutrients to the hair follicles, strengthening their function and prolonging their life cycle. The result: hair becomes stronger and thicker, and hair loss is gradually reduced.

  • Am I a Good Candidate for This Solution?

This therapy is particularly suitable for people with androgenetic alopecia, as it helps revitalize miniaturized follicles and slow down the hair thinning process. It is also recommended if you are experiencing gradual thinning, diffuse hair loss, or fine hair. The treatment is most effective when the follicles are still active, even if weakened, as it stimulates their natural function and promotes healthier, stronger, and thicker regrowth.

  • How Long Does It Take to See Results?

Results appear gradually. After 3 to 6 months, you may notice a reduction in hair loss. After 6 months, new hair begins to grow, and after 12 months, the volume and density of your hair improve visibly. The speed of results also varies depending on the laser chosen: a model higher in laser diodes (greater coverage) can accelerate the appearance of results.

PRP Treatment

PRP is a medical procedure that uses your own platelet-rich plasma to stimulate the vitality of hair follicles. Through small, targeted injections into the scalp, this treatment promotes hair regrowth, increases hair density, and improves overall hair health. It is a safe and natural solution, ideal for people who want to slow down hair loss and revitalize their hair.

  • How Does a PRP Treatment Session Work?

During the treatment, a trained nurse draws a small amount of the client’s blood and processes it in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma, rich in growth factors, is then carefully injected into the scalp using very fine needles. The growth factors activate hair follicles, support regeneration, and encourage the growth of stronger, healthier hair.

  • Is It Painful?

Discomfort during the treatment is minimal, though sensitivity can vary from person to person and between sessions. Thanks to the natural healing properties of platelets, the scalp typically recovers very quickly.

  • Is the Alma TED Treatment Painful?

No, Alma TED treatments are generally painless and non-invasive. Since we do not use needles, most patients describe a sensation of vibration or slight warmth. Your technician will adjust the treatment settings to ensure optimal comfort throughout the procedure.

Treatment time is usually 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Am I a Good Candidate for Alma TED Treatments?

Alma TED is an ideal solution for men or women experiencing thinning hair or hair loss. A hair consultation with a Capilia expert is necessary to assess the cause of your hair condition and determine your eligibility for treatment.

The treatment is not recommended for:

    • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
    • People with cancer or a history of cancer in the treatment area within the last 5 years
    • People with psoriasis in the treatment area
    • People with heart disease
    • Several other medical conditions are contraindicated for this treatment.
  • How Long Does It Take to See Results with Alma TED?

The response to treatment and the speed of results vary depending on the severity of the hair condition and the individual's hair growth cycle.

    • Within the first month of treatment, a slowdown in hair loss is usually noticeable.
    • During the second and third months, new hair will begin to appear, and existing hair will gain volume, thickness, and become darker.
    • After 3 months, the bald areas of the scalp will begin to fill in significantly, eventually covering more of the scalp.

Hair Exosomes

Hair treatment with exosomes is an innovative approach to hair health that aims to optimize hair follicle activity. Exosomes are tiny biological messengers produced naturally by the body and used to transmit signals between cells.

When applied to the scalp, they release regenerative factors that support the cellular environment around the follicles. Their action aims to "reset" weakened follicles so that they function more effectively, as they did before.

This treatment helps improve cellular communication, revitalize weakening follicles, and promote an environment conducive to better hair density.
