What Is a Deposit Treatment?
It is a salon treatment that lasts about 1.5 hours. This deep cleansing of the scalp purifies and removes impurities and residue build-up around the hair follicles.
Using a heated cap and boar bristle brushes, the trichology technician performs a series of steps to restore the scalp to optimal condition.
Before beginning the deposit treatment, the trichology technician will assess the condition of the scalp using a micro camera, then show you the desired effects of the cleansing at the end of the procedure.

Many shampoos, conditioners and styling products, such as gel, styling paste, hairspray and mousse, can contain harmful ingredients such as silicone, parabens and sulphates. These cosmetic ingredients make the hair shaft look beautiful, adding shine and volume after just one use, but they can hinder hair growth and cause thinning over time.
Why Is It Important to Get a Deposit Treatment?
When hair follicles are clogged, impurities can trap hair in place on the scalp instead of allowing it to fall out according to its regular hair cycle. This undesirable effect will prevent new hair from growing to optimal density, as it will be restricted to a blocked follicular tunnel.
The accumulation of residue and sebum on the scalp can also cause itching or irritation.
In addition, deposit removal treatment will promote the absorption of the active ingredients contained in shampoos and serums used to treat hair conditions. When the follicular tunnels are clear, the active ingredients can penetrate and act on the hair bulb, compared to a congested scalp where some of the active ingredients will bead up and not work effectively.

It is recommended that you have a deposit treatment done at the salon twice a year to promote optimal hair health.
